Reading Lists

My first proper illustration job =)
For some really lovely academic librarians at Northampton University.
They're doing a presentation in some exotic country about the importance of Reading lists to students.
They have 6 parts to their presentation;

1. Starting Point- Students use reading lists as a guide to find resources.
2. Sign Post- Directing students to different types of resources
3. Scaffolding- Supporting students to develop academic skills, lots of guidance initially, less as they develop in confidence and skill
4. Academic Toolkit- Toolkit of all the skills needed. e.g. time management, idea generation etc.
5. Modelling- Tutors reading lists should model good practice
6. Life Saving- Stops students feeling overwhelmed and swamped.

These were my original sketches that I sent them for approval (They approved of them, squee! ^.^)

I then cut them from Black Paper and photographed them on a lightbox using acetate for colouring.
And here they are...

Hope you like them.

On a separate note, graduating with a first class degree this week. Whoo!
